Recently the University email systems experienced a heavy attack by scammers using a phishing scam imitating Wachovia Bank. Their goal is to capture your personal information. To protect our users, a block has been placed to restrict the processing of any email with the word “Wachovia” in it. The block will stay in place until February 10th at which time it will be removed. Should you need to contact Wachovia Bank, you can go to their web site from on campus or contact them via email using a non-Missouri State account from off campus.

Remember that Missouri State University will never ask for your user ID, password, or Social Security Number. Should you have any questions, please contact Jim Taylor, the Information Security Officer, at JimTaylor@MissouriState.edu or 417-836-5226.

Ask the Experts!

Whether you need help filing a requisition in Banner Finance or you just have a question about changing your password, you'll find the answer on the Experts Documentation Wiki. Browse, comment, or subscribe to keep up with the ever-changing face of Missouri State University's unified knowledge repository, and don't forget that you can login to create or edit pages and become an expert yourself!
