The Technology Wiki was one of our first forays into using a wiki as a centralized documentation repository, and this pilot project was a resounding success. It has been hugely gratifying and encouraging to see the community grow, and though it may still be small, I am excited by what we have accomplished here.
This pilot project has proven the utility and resourcefulness of wikis, and as such we have invested in a new wiki solution, Atlassian Confluence. When faced with the impending Banner implementation, we knew that we were going to need something better, broader, and more user-friendly than Mediawiki. After a process of research and evaluation, we settled on Confluence, and the software has been absolutely brilliant.
