You may not even know that your computer has been infected with spyware or adware until it slows your computer so much that some programs no longer work. Actually, spyware is more common today than many viruses because it typically uses social engineering to accomplish its task. Spyware attaches itself to many so-called "free" programs that end-users willingly download. Although not always malicious, spyware generally interrupts and slows down the computer to a crawl while sometimes bombarding the end-user with pop-up ads or other programs than can log key strokes to harvest login IDs and passwords.
Symantec Endpoint Protection is available help prevent spyware from being installed on your home and office computer. The license key is for your use only and should not be shared with unauthorized users. To obtain Symantec Endpoint Protection, Students, Faculty, and Staff members need only bring a blank CD-R or CD-RW to one of the Open-Access Computer Labs, and our staff will burn you a copy.
