This web site provides information for University-owned computer
purchases. If you need information about purchasing computers with
non-University funds, please visit the
Computer Discounts for Students and Employees web page.
Campus Standard Computers
Campus Standard Computers are available here.
Volume Purchases
In the past, Missouri State negotiated volume computer discounts with
Gateway, Inc. on a scheduled basis. This provided the University with
substantial discounts on the configured models, but it necessitated
coordinating large purchases three times a year and could result in an
inconvenient wait for the scheduled purchase. Now, Missouri State
purchases computers from Dell, Inc., and because of the annual volume of
our purchases, Dell provides promotional pricing year-round, with the
price adjusted as needed.
Other Purchases
To purchase a new system outside our recommended configurations, you
should visit the
Recommended
Computers Page or contact your User Support Specialist to configure
a system. Your User Support Specialist will create an e-Quote to be used
by the Purchasing office. If you wish to create a quote yourself,
contact the Help Desk to get
access to the Missouri State Dell site. When configuring your new
system, follow the purchasing guidelines
below. This will ensure optimal compatibility with university systems
and support. Then follow these steps:
Submit a UBUY requisition. Specify the Dell e-Quote number and use the
following vendor information:
Dell, Inc.
One Dell Way
Round Rock, TX 78682
