Step 1: Adding an account
When you run Entourage for the first time, you will be
prompted to setup an account. You can continue through
this dialog box directly into account creation or, if
you prefer, click cancel to manually setup your account.
For the purposes of this guide we assume you have either
run Entourage before or canceled the automatic account
creation, allowing for manual setup.
Once Entourage is open, simply click on Tools on the
Menu Bar at the top of the screen and select Accounts at
the bottom of the menu.
Step 2: Creating a new account
The Accounts window should now be open. Just to the
right of the New button at the top left of the Accounts
window you should see a small black arrow pointing down.
Click on this arrow to expand your choices and select
Mail.
Step 3: Selecting an account type
You will be asked to select the type of email account
you wish to set up. Choose either POP or IMAP, depending
on your preference, and click OK.
Step 4: Account settings
Enter your account information as displayed in the image
below. Your account name can be set to whatever you
like, but be sure to format your email address and login
information correctly. For incoming mail, your login
information must be formatted as domain\privateid\publicid.
Advanced incoming settings
Once your incoming settings are entered, click the Click
here for advanced receiving options button in the
Receiving Mail section. A small window will appear where
you will need to check This POP/IMAP service requires a
secure connection (SSL). The port number should change
automatically, but make sure the information matches the
screenshots below.

Advanced outgoing settings
After finishing configuring your advanced incoming
settings, you will need to click the button labeled
Click here for advanced sending options in the Sending
mail section at the bottom of the Account Settings
window from step 4. Configure your advanced outgoing
settings as displayed in the image below.
Note that the default SMTP port must be changed from 25
to 587. Also, outgoing mail requires authentication, but
your login id must be entered slightly differently than
it was for incoming mail. This field only required
domain\privateid, so make sure your information is
entered correctly here.
