To quote John Donne, "No man is an island..." and, hopefully, neither is your computer. Computers once were used as standalone machines for word processing and other forms of data processing. With the advent of the Internet, computers now seem useless unless they are connected to the world. These pages will discuss how to connect your campus computer (i.e. a computer physically located on campus) to other computers connected to Missouri State University's computing network.
Many resources are available through the campus network. This section discusses the ways to access available resources and the steps needed to gain access to those resources through the campus wired network.
With proper configuration, computing resources many be accessed wirelessly from many locations across campus. The Missouri State University wireless network is encrypted and requires proper software settings before access is allowed. You may use the provided documentation to set up this connection. If you experience problems setting up your wireless connection, you may take your computer to any of Computer Services' Open Labs (Cheek 150, Glass 229, or Strong 107) for assistance. (You may follow the links for Lab hours and contact information.)
