Uploading Files to Personal Storage:
Personal web storage is available for students and contains a fixed amount of file storage space that is not viewable over a web browser. Files may be uploaded and downloaded from anywhere in the world through the use of your PrivateID\Password combination and a web browser that supports FTP like Internet Explorer 6 and 7. You may also use a FTP client to perform the file transfer to the storage server, such as FireFTP with Firefox.
Restrictions on Personal Storage:
The amount available in each folder is measured and strictly controlled. If your Magenta folder exceeds the allowed size, it will automatically be set to a Read-Only mode where you will be unable to save new or even existing documents to that folder. You will need to remove some documents from your folder before it can be reset. Once the folder is below the allotted size limit, it will take about 30 minutes for it to reset and documents to no longer be Read-Only.

Even if your Magenta folder is locked to Read-Only, you can still open documents within that folder and save them to a different location, such as the Desktop or a JumpDrive.
